How to turn on javascript

JavaScript is required for many of PayPal’s features to work. Find your specific browser in the list to get instructions for turning on JavaScript. If your browser isn't listed, please consult its help resources.

Mozilla Firefox

JavaScript can be used to do things that some people don't like. For better control, you can install privacy extensions such as:


  • NoScript: allows JavaScript and other content to run only on websites of your choice.
  • Ghostery: allows you to block scripts from companies that you don't trust.

Follow the instructions provided by your browser.

Chrome

  1. Click the Chrome menu icon.
  2. Select Settings.
  3. On the "Settings" page, click the Show advanced settings... link.
  4. In the "Privacy" section, click Content settings...
  5. Select Allow all sites to run JavaScript (recommended) in the "JavaScript" section.
  6. Click Done.

Safari

  1. In the Edit drop-down menu at the top of the window, select Preferences...
  2. Select the Security icon/tab at the top on the window.
  3. Then, check the Enable JavaScript checkbox.
  4. Close the window to save your changes.
